The Ejido activates a special security device on the occasion of All Saints and Halloween

The Local Police will deploy an extensive operation, coordinated with the National Police, which will reinforce surveillance in the streets, commercial areas and leisure spaces with specialized units, plainclothes agents and air means. The device includes a permanent police presence in Plaza Mayor and a reinforcement of surveillance to prevent incidents, prevent acts of vandalism and guarantee normality throughout the weekend. cemeteries in El Ejido, Balerma and Las Norias-San Agustín will remain open uninterruptedly from October 30 to November 2, with a police presence.

The City Council of El Ejido has designed a special security device on the occasion of the feast of All Saints, on November 1, and the celebration of Halloween, which includes an important deployment of police forces and means throughout the municipality to strengthen prevention, guarantee citizen security and promote coexistence during this weekend.

The mayor, Julia Ibáñez, held a meeting this morning at the Headquarters of the Local Police with the chief mayor, Marco Muñoz, and the commanders of the Corps to analyze and coordinate the planned operation, which will be carried out in close collaboration with the National Police, with the aim of ensuring a coordinated and effective response to any incident that may occur.

The device contemplates an important reinforcement of the police presence in the streets of the municipality, with the participation of agents of the Prevention Unit 092/112, the Operational Support and Prevention Group (GOAP) and the Canine Unit. Likewise, there will be plainclothes agents and air assets that will make it possible to intensify prevention, surveillance and control work at the points of greatest influx of people. A device that it will have a wide deployment of human and material resources and will also be in permanent coordination with the National Police so that these celebrations can take place normally and to prevent any situation that may alter coexistence or affect the development of commercial and hospitality activity.

In this sense, a permanent police presence will be established in Plaza Mayor, one of the points of special attention of the device, while surveillance will be intensified in the main commercial areas, hospitality establishments, leisure spaces and places where a greater concentration of people is expected. The operation will have a marked preventive nature and will be especially aimed at avoiding behavior , damage to urban furniture, acts of vandalism, disturbances of public order and any behavior that may compromise the safety of people or the normal operation of establishments and public spaces.

Likewise, inspection and control actions on leisure establishments and recreational activities will be intensified, with the aim of verifying compliance with current regulations and ensuring that the activity is carried out in proper safety conditions.

From the Local Police, it is recalled that the celebration of Halloween must be carried out with respect, responsibility and coexistence, and that the festive nature of these dates does not justify uncivil behavior or actions that may harm other people, commercial establishments or public and private heritage.

Therefore, we call for citizen collaboration and compliance with the rules, warning that we will act firmly and forcefully in the face of any conduct that alters security or coexistence. The violations detected will give rise to the corresponding complaints and, when the facts may constitute a crime, the appropriate police actions will be carried out and the competent authority, without prejudice to any administrative or criminal responsibilities that may correspond.

Special device in cemeteries

On the other hand, on the occasion of the feast of All Saints, the Local Police will pay special attention to preventive surveillance, security and traffic regulation at the entrances to the cemeteries of the municipality, where a significant influx of visitors is expected during the next few days.

Specifically, a permanent police service will be established in the El Ejido Cemetery from October 30 to November 2, with the aim of facilitating travel, ordering circulation and guaranteeing the safety of people who come to visit their families and loved ones.

It should be remembered that the cemeteries of El Ejido, Balerma and Las Norias-San Agustín will remain open uninterruptedly from October 30 to November 2, thus facilitating visits during these dates of special significance for many families in the municipality.
